Waters 700005225 is an authentic needle carriage assembly for Waters ACQUITY Sample Manager Flow-Through Needle (SM-FTN) units. It includes the integrated carriage and home sensor to provide precise vertical and rotational positioning of the sample needle during HPLC/UPLC injection cycles.
Description
The Waters ASSY NEEDLE CARRIAGE (PN 700005225) is an electromechanical needle positioning assembly designed for Waters ACQUITY UPLC Flow-Through Needle (SM-FTN) Sample Managers. It drives and translates the sample needle assembly along the Z and Zp axes during autosampler movement, seal characterization, and sample injection. The carriage includes an integrated home sensor for accurate axis homing and position verification. The drive belt is permanently attached to the carriage assembly and is not available as an individual replacement component. PN 700005225 is used to resolve errors such as 'Needle/seal move limit exceeded', 'Z-axis calibration out of range', and 'Zp-axis home h/w fault' caused by belt stripping, sensor failure, or mechanical wear. Replacing the assembly requires subsequent Z-axis/R-axis calibration and needle seal characterization.
