Hitachi 638-1423 is a flow path filter (drain/purge valve filter) for Hitachi HPLC pumps. It traps particulates in mobile phases to protect downstream chromatographic components, maintaining consistent pressure and solvent flow.
Description
The Hitachi 638-1423 Flow Path Filter is an OEM filter element for the drain and purge valve assembly of Hitachi HPLC pumps. Installed directly in the fluid flow path, this filter prevents micro-particulates and debris from entering pump check valves, injectors, and analytical columns, preventing blockages and maintaining system pressure stability. It is routinely replaced during preventative maintenance, often paired with filter packing (PN 638-1422). It is compatible with a wide range of Hitachi liquid chromatography systems, including the Chromaster 5110/5160, LaChromElite L-2100/L-2130, LaChromUltra L-2160U, Primaide PM1110, as well as legacy L-6000 and L-7000 series pumps.
